The Summer Goalkeeper Camp focuses on the most specialized position in soccer – the goalkeeper.
Our expert-designed curriculum provides goalkeepers of all levels the tools to enhance their skills and elevate their game. Each session focuses on developing critical technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of goalkeeping through engaging and dynamic exercises, including
- Advanced footwork and ball handling
- Shot-stopping mechanics and handling techniques
- 1v1 situations and breakaway saves
- Reaction and reflex training
- Highballs and crosses mastery
- Effective distribution strategies
- Proper starting and set positioning
- Building mental resilience and focus
Our sessions will mirror the CRYSC seasonal Goalkeeping Curriculum, developed and directed by CRYSC Goalkeeping Director and Rapids MLS Goalkeeping Coach Chris Sharpe, in order to provide further skill development for goalkeepers from both inside and outside of CRYSC.
