CRYSC Board Member Elections

On Monday, December 11, 2017, Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club will host our Annual General Meeting. The principle business of this meeting will be to elect the Board of Directors for 2017/2018. Members of the board serve one-year or two-year terms. Learn a little bit about each of the candidates for the Board of Directors below.

Fernando Pineda-Reyes

Originally from Mexico, Fernando has lived in Denver for the past 20 years. He is the CEO of CREA Results, a social enterprise that builds and supports public health, education, and social justice campaigns. He has a degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He currently works with several organizations and agencies on environmental justice and health disparities, from a grassroots education and organization level to research and heath care policy reform. Current programs include marijuana policy and awareness, diabetes, nutrition, physical activity, and breast health initiatives. His work with State and local agencies includes working directly with low income families and the monolingual Spanish speaking community. Fernando is the lucky husband of Tracy and the proud father of Gabriela, Sebastian, and Stella.

Kevin Scott

Kevin Scott is interested in becoming a board member because he has three children in the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, and has been an active member in the Club for years. Kevin obtained the National E coaching license and has been a coach for the past seven years within the U5-U8 Rec program. He has recently been involved in helping the Rapids Youth Club understand and improve player and parent satisfaction and retention. Kevin received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Professionally, Kevin is a Certified Financial Planner helping financial advisers adapt and improve their businesses as a Sr. VP at Gravity Investments.  He and his family have resided in Park Hill since 2004.

Lindsey Ghiselli

Lindsey aims to bring a fresh perspective to the Rapids Youth Soccer community by becoming a board member. She grew up in Southern California and moved to Colorado 12 years ago. Prior to moving to Denver she worked in management at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for 7 years. As a previous scholarship athlete, who played for Loyola Marymount University, a NCAA Division 1 program in the WCC, Lindsey is passionate about soccer and the valuable role it provides children. She feels soccer is a powerful tool to motivate children athletically and academically. Lindsey is married with three children who are all actively involved in soccer. Her youngest just started kindergarten and she is ready to take on new challenges as a board member for Rapids Youth Soccer.  She believes that kids will stick with soccer if they have committed coaching, team camaraderie, technical support and added fun.  She is eager to share her love of the game with the Rapids Youth Soccer community.
