We’re excited to announce that Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club will be fielding the newly formed team, Colorado Rapids Women, in the WPSL (Women’s Premier Soccer League) for the 2019 season! With alumnae including Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Julie Foudy and Megan Rapinoe, the WPSL provides the highest level of developmental opportunities for amateur players in the United States.

There has always been a clear player pathway for the young men in our Club, with our MLS team partnership. Now, CRYSC can offer an elite level women’s team, not only for the young women in our club, but other elite level female soccer players across the state and country!

The program is open to eligible Rapids Youth players via the recruitment process and through open tryouts. Tryouts will be held April 29 for 15U+ non-college players and May 3 for all 15U+ players from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Gates Soccer Complex in Aurora.

The WPSL is in its 22nd season and is the largest women’s soccer league in the world. Last season, the WPSL grew to over 100 teams, consisting of highly skilled players from collegiate, post-collegiate, international, and standout prep athletes. We’re thrilled to be a part of this league and look forward to the opportunities it will present CRYSC players!

For more information, please visit the team’s page on the CRYSC site through the “learn more” below. Watch your email and the CRYSC social media channels for further announcements. The new season is approaching fast, so make sure to save the date Friday, May 24 at 6 PM, as the team kicks off its first home game ever!
